Leadwork & Lead Repairs in Lancashire & Yorkshire
Leadwork contractors for bespoke leadwork, lead repairs and on-site lead welding. Advanced Roofing & Guttering Experts serves Lancashire and nearby Yorkshire, including Barnoldswick, Colne, Clitheroe and Skipton. All lead welding is personally carried out on site by Joe Thompson, from purpose-made chimney details to welded roof junctions.
Leadwork made to fit your roof
Every roof junction is different. We form leadwork to suit the actual roof, chimney and adjoining stonework, with all lead welding carried out on site by Joe himself. This lets us shape and join the details around the property as the work progresses.

Lead flashing repairs and replacement
Leaking chimney flashings, damaged lead and failing roof junctions need a close assessment before the repair is chosen. We inspect the affected detail and explain whether a local lead repair is suitable or whether the flashing or adjoining leadwork needs replacing. The aim is to address the cause of the leak and make the detail fit the roof properly.
Contact us about chimney lead repairs, lead apron and back-gutter repairs, or lead flashing where a roof meets a wall. If water could be entering elsewhere, we can assess the wider problem through our roof repair service.
Chimney leadwork, back gutters and welded details
Our leadwork services include chimney aprons, soakers and flashings, back gutters, abutment details and bespoke welded junctions. We can assess leaking existing leadwork or include new lead details as part of a complete roof replacement. Where the chimney itself needs attention, see our chimney repairs and leadwork service.

Leadwork on our 12° low-pitch roof in Salterforth
These photographs show our Salterforth project near Barnoldswick, where the replacement covering uses Crest G10 tiles on a roof with a 12° pitch. Joe has formed and welded the bespoke leadwork on site, including the junction shown in close-up and the lead detailing around the stone chimney.
On a shallow roof, the junctions deserve as much attention as the tiles. The leadwork is part of the overall weathering detail; tile suitability, underlay, laps, fixings and drainage must also suit the roof and the manufacturer’s project requirements. A welded lead detail alone does not make any roof covering suitable for a 12° pitch.
See the Salterforth Crest G10 roof replacement and latest progress photographs. These are working-stage photographs, with the project still in progress.
